Adult Classes

Whether you are just getting started, brushing up on fundamentals, or finally ridding yourself of that annoying slice, The Golf Institute has a class for you. We offer a progressive approach in our class offerings that recognizes your current ability and provides a constructive solution to your playing obstacles.

Group Lessons

Golf 101 – Getting Started

Golf 101 is designed to instruct the entry level golfer on the basic skills and strategy necessary to feel comfortable playing a round of recreational golf. Lesson topics will include equipment, etiquette, and familiarization with the golfing environment. Little or no experience is necessary for this class and equipment is available.

Golf 201 – The Fundamentals

Need to improve your fundamentals or tame your slice? Golf 201 offers four hours of classic fundamental instruction from tee to green. Golf 201 lesson topics will include basic fundamentals for both the full swing and short game. Golf 201 is designed for golfers of various abilities looking to learn or re-learn the fundamentals of the game.

Golf 301 – Breaking 100

Golf 301 is the perfect class for the golfer looking to expand upon their basic skills and improve their all-around performance on the course. Learn to improve your fundamentals, control ball flight and trajectory and escape shots from difficult situations. Golf 301 is for experienced golfers looking to better understand their tendencies and improve their scoring from a variety of situations.

On Course – For the New Golfer

New to golf and uncomfortable with playing with friends, family, or fellow co-workers? Stay on course with our new mentor program. Each week we will offer you a brief lesson on the range and then take you to the course for a playing lesson. This class is ideal for new golfers with little or no experience.

Women’s Classes

Our popular Golf 101 and Golf 202 classes are also offered in an all-female environment. These sessions are a bit lighter and allow more time for discussion. Our lead instructor for these classes is Dee Forsberg-Voss, who has a long-standing reputation for introducing women to the game in a fun and relaxed manner.
